CDC Updates Guidance For Vaccinated Residents

April 29, 2021, David Schless, ASHA - The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) on April 27 issued updated guidance for health care settings, including assisted living, which now allows vaccinated residents to resume communal dining and group activities without masks and social distancing.

The guidance also, however, recommends masking for all residents if unvaccinated residents are participating in the activities or communal dining.

The revised guidance, which can be viewed here, also recommends that vaccinated staff continue to wear masks while working.
